L807 Style FAA Windsock assembly externally lighted
With a standard windsock size of Ø 90×375 cm or Ø 45×250 cm.
Holland Aviation is, constructing this from an L807 style mast made of T50 aluminium
We have this installation unlighted, externally, internally and double lighted.
Some key features of the L807 style FAA Windsock assembly are;
- The windsock gives a reliable wind direction.
- Along with the wind direction, you can see a wind speed indication.
- This installation has low maintenance costs.
- This windsock assembly has a low power consumption.
- A reliable fixed illumination system.
- The assembly has no rotating electric parts.
- In addition, Holland Aviation is not using any mercury-containing slip-rings.
The Colours red/white (ICAO) as well as orange (FAA), double-stitched with a reinforced front hem and grommets. The Holland Aviation windsocks are designed so that they taper from the throat to the trailing end. As a result of this, the windsock is fully extending when you are exposing it to a wind of 15 knots (is equal to 28 km/hr or 17 mph).
The HA windsock sleeves are proving to withstand wind speeds in excess of 145km/h (75 knots). The windsock fabrics have been tested for mechanical strength, UV resistance and color fastness by an independent laboratory.
