Description

Prohibited Landing Marker – Holland Aviation

The Holland Aviation Prohibited Landing Marker is an aviation safety tool designed to enhance the safety and compliance of helicopter landing operations. Measuring at 400x400mm, this marker is a highly visible and recognizable indicator. It is used on helidecks to communicate the prohibition of landing on a specific area.

Each HA-Prohibited Landing Marker set is thoughtfully packaged, including a convenient storage bag and 8 tie-down straps. The storage bag ensures that the marker remains protected and readily accessible when not in use. It  prevents damage and facilitating efficient deployment. The 8 tie-down straps offer secure fastening, ensuring that the marker stays firmly in place despite varying weather conditions or operational situations.

Prohibited Landing

A Prohibited Landing Marker is a visual indicator specifically employed on a helideck to communicate the prohibition of landing on that particular area. Helidecks, often located on offshore platforms, ships, or other structures, are landing spots for helicopters during various operations. As there are transportation, search and rescue, or medical evacuations.

The Prohibited Landing Marker is strategically positioned on the helideck. To clearly convey to helicopter pilots that landing on that specific spot is strictly prohibited. This prohibition could be due to safety concerns, ongoing operations or maintenance activities. That as a result may jeopardize the safety of personnel on board.

The marker itself is designed to be highly visible from the air, even in adverse weather conditions or low visibility scenarios. It usually features distinctive colors, patterns, or symbols that stand out against the helideck’s surface. These markers are a crucial part of helideck safety protocols. Ensuring that pilots are aware of restricted areas and preventing unauthorized or unsafe landings.

By adhering to the instructions conveyed by Prohibited Landing Markers, helicopter pilots contribute to the overall safety of flight operations,  personnel on the helideck, and the structural integrity of the landing area. These markers play a vital role in maintaining order and preventing accidents, thus upholding the standards of aviation safety and regulatory compliance. Within the context of helideck operations.
